Ruffian with Orly Rock Solid

Hi readers! Today I have Orly Rock Solid over Sinful Colors Let's Talk.  It took 2 coats of both.

The one above is most color accurate.
I could only get one good photo of the complete manicure, but you can tell what it looks like, right?
Well I hope you guys liked this post.

In other news, I think I'm going to change my URL to make it match the name of my blog so it's easier to find. Do you guys think that's a good idea?  Also, go check out my new page where I'm going to post my awards!

Bye for now!

Blue Franken

Hello my lovely readers! Today I am going to share with you a franken I made with this very large set of dry sparkles.  I used the end of my Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue Me Away (maybe there was 1/5 of it left?), mixed it with Seche Vite (which I should not do because A, it wastes it, and B because the glitters sink to the bottom), and glitters that were green and smaller holographic blue.  It need 2 coats, and 2 coats of Seche Vite on top to be shiny and not chunky.  Overall, I think it looks OK but it looks horrible on camera.  Also, so you can sort of understand what it looks like in real life, it's more aqua blue than dark like in the pictures.

Any likes? I need a name for this.  Leave one in the comments if you have a good one!

On a side note, for my birthday and the great sale, I got 3 Deborah Lippman nail polishes which are Sugar Daddy, Bring on the Bling, and Glamorous Life.  Also I won my first giveaway!! It's from Polish Obsession so I'm really really excited to get all my new polishes. Life is good when nail polish is involved. :)

OPI I Lily Love You Gradient

Hi guys! I just finished watching a really bad movie about leaches, so I'm glad it's done.  Today's manicure followed a fail, and it's so bad I'm not even posting pictures of it.  For the good one sponged Sally Hansen Black Out and just painted OPI I Lily Love You on top. ILLY is a really pretty pink jelly with blue, green and orange flakeys and sparkles.

I haven't really gotten the hang of gradients still.  Anyone have any tips?

Anyways, have a great Sunday!

Oh, and I linked my blog to bloglovin, so go follow it if you want!

Ah Summer Time...

....Where it gets hot and buggy.  No, I don't enjoy the summertime.  Oh well, I'll just do some super bright nail designs.  Nothing speaks summer more than my new sandals with matching nails :P  This time I did some real art after doing none :)  It kind of feels lazy of me just doing one color or stamp, so it feels good to do actual hand-painted designs.
I used Essie Blanc as my base color then did some liney zigzags (if that makes any sense) with Funky Fingers Power Play (purple).  A little further away I put NYC Times Square Tangerine (orange), then L.A. Colors Shock (yellow-orange), and finally my unnamed Jordana red.

Above: left hand (how rare!)
Edit- right hand, I'm so confused...
 And the inspiration!
Hope you all like it, have a great week :)

Holographic Goodness!!

I'm back with my promise of holographic nails!  It's Milani Hi-Tech in the 3D collection I bought recently.  I used 3 coats, it went on a little patchy so I had to brush it on very lightly.  It was $5.80 and HOLY CRAP it's amazing.  I would pay $10 for it.  It's pretty linear and the color is like across from light green and neon green if you know what I mean...  I didn't use a top coat because it dulls these.  On to the pictures!

These are more in a white toned light.

These are directly under my desk lamp.

Oh yes.  Soooo pretty right?

Gettin Busy!

In the past like 2 days I've swatched quite a few polishes. Revlon Whimsical, the ever popular Deborah Lippman dupe for Glitter in the Air.  It's very sheer and I was smart enough to not put a base color and I didn't like it by itself:( This is 3 coats.
It looks ok in these pictures but looking straight on it it's very pukey.

Next is Spoiled by Wet & Wild Pirate booty.  This is actually 4 coats because I don't think it's meant to be a full glitter, just top coat.  The brushes in these are SO annoying.  Formula is ok, not too crazy about the drying time.  It peeled off (well, I peeled it off) in a day so I took it off today.

Then I put this on: it's just a franken of mine made of topcoat and little shredded gold pieces.

The next polish (I'm putting it on right now!) I will post tomorrow.  I'm not telling what it is but I'll give you a hint: it's holo:)
Take care!

I'm back with gradient nails!

Hello all!  I'm back, I had a wonderful time in Maryland:)  It's good to post again.  I have a bunch of pictures for you all!  First, I swatched Essie Main Squeeze. I don't get the name, that bothers me.

I didn't like it when I bought it, but now I fell in love! It seems kind of ghosty to me.
Then yesterday I did a gradient because I didn't know what to do with the color I had on (Love & Beauty Blue/green that I've shown bottle pics of).  I sponged Claire's Twinkle Twinkle about halfway down then on top of that OPI Lincoln Park After Dark.

The one above is the closest to the true color.  My camera wanted to make it blue, and not catch the pretty purple duochrome glitters...
Well bye for now!

PS.  I got Revlon Whimsical!;)
