Today's mani was inspired by Robin Moses and she does amazing work. If you haven't seen her stuff, go check it out! I didn't do quite as well as she did because I don't have acrylic paints. Instead I used 2 frankens I made (grey and peach) and OPI Lincoln Park After Dark and an Orly white detail brush. Today I went to the mall and Trade Secret had a sale on OPI's that was buy 1 get 1 75% off so I couldn't pass that off. I bought Melon of Troy (a nice frosty peach) and Guy Meets Gal-Veston (coral jelly with a 'sorbet' finish). Sorry, no pictures of those:( But here's the manicure!
Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Sparkles!!!
Today I used one of my Funky Fingers polishes that I bought the other day called Tinsel Town. It's a freaking gorgeous green jelly packed with glitter and sparkles. I love it! Then I stamped BM-221 with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black Out (I don't recommend this for stamping but I only have one black polish and I don't really like it). After I put 2 coats of Tinsel Town I put on top coat to make the image transfer better. Overall, I'm very pleased with the result.

Hippie Nails
My nails today remind me of hippies. It's not really my original plan though, but that was super hard to do so instead I just piled on the Bundle Monster stamps. I don't particularly like how it turned out, but it could be worse. And I lied yesterday when I said I would continue swatching stuff, because I prefer to do art.
I used Essie Sand Tropez, Orly Luxe, Essie Lady Godiva on my thumbs, and some Charlotte Russe polish in taupe. The BM stamps are BM-214 and 222.

2 Swatches
Today I wanted to swatch a lot of new polishes of mine, but I don't feel like doing all of them today so maybe I'll do 2 more tomorrow and 2 the next day. I went to 5 Below yesterday and picked up 3 polishes- Funky Fingers Tinsel Town, Fresh Paint Olive You, and Fresh Paint Spruce Street. Fresh Paint is a division of the makers of color club and Funky Fingers, just in case you didn't recognize the name. I've never tried it before but so far so good. The colors I swatched today are Essie Armed and Ready, and Fresh Paint Olive You. A&R is a very hard to capture gold shimmer in a gunmetal grey. Olive You is also hard to get on camera, it's an olive foil with gold shimmer too but this one looks very silver in the pictures.
Here's A&R. Second photo is with flash because that is the only way I could get the shimmers in the picture.
This is Olive You. Like I said, looks silvery but it really has more of a green tone than in the pictures.
As for the formulas, they were both great so I have no complaints. Essie's new brushes seem better than before. I don't even know if they changed it or not, but the brushes seem really soft and nice.
Anyways, have a nice weekend.

Mmmm, Donuts!
My brother gave me this idea (even though he thought it was original but I've seen it before:P) when I was totally stuck for ideas to do my nails. I picked up one of my favorite polishes by Claire's called Tigerlilly. Then I put Essie's Shine of the Times over that for nice flakey goodness to make it interesting, and then I painted donuts on top of that. I really like this one, but it makes me hungry:( They do look really tasty... The Claire's polish never dries sadly, so I dented it a few times even before putting everything else on it. Here's some pictures of it!
Here's a good view of the flakeys:)
Have a nice day!

Valentines Day Mani and yayyyy new polishes!
A few days ago I did a V-Day mani but I don't really like it. It just feels too cheesy or something. But for it I used OPI's Kyoto Pearl, a red by Jordana, and some red rhinestones. I also used plate BM-221.
Lava is a red jelly base with orange sparkles, armed and ready is a gorgeous grey with gold shimmer, wrapped in rubies is a pretty metallic ruby and orange and shine of the times is a beautiful multicrome flakey polish in a clear base. It's very similar to Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, and I have both so I'm a little disappointed but I like the Essie better.
Here's a close up of shine of the times. Isn't it pretty?!
That's all for today, I'll be back in a few days;)
This is Kyoto Pearl by itself, it's a great polish but you have to be careful about brush strokes. I should have just kept it like this but no. It must be complicated.
And for the better half of this post, my new polishes:)

Ok, so I've been officially tagged. I'm so honored to do this, and thanks so much GoingtotheShowing (I don't know her name!) for tagging me, very cute blog of hers. Check it out: http://goingtotheshowing.blogspot.com/
I got asked:
1. Do you have a middle name?
Yes I do, and it is Abigail
2.Do you play any sports?
No, I'm seriously lazy. Unless you call watching TV a sport...
3. What’s your favorite all time movie?
That's a tough one... I'd have to say even though I haven't even seen it yet The Twilight Zone movie. I assume it's amazing because the show is.
4. Do you prefer high heels or flats?
Heels! Heels! Heels!
5. What kind of food could you not live without?
Beef jerky:)
6. Do you play any instruments?
No, I used to play the piano though. And I play air drums and air guitar.
7. What got you into blogging?
I saw The Daily Nail and I wanted to do nail art, and now I want to share my designs and have feedback on it
8. Are you afraid of any type of animal(s)?
I'm scared of my cat when he attacks me and growls like crazy:P
9. How long have you ever shopped without stopping for anything? (Excluding bathroom breaks.)
Staring at nail polishes for a few hours
10. What color is your room?
Grey, turquoise , and white with lace bedding
11. Whose blog did you last visit?
GoingtotheShowing:)
Now I am going to ask my own questions:
1. What's the coolest nail design you've ever seen?
2. Which is better: summer or winter? (and explain!)
3.What is the funniest word or expression?
4.What is your most used keyboard facial expression (ex. :) , :P)
5.Where do you live?
6. Chocolate or vanilla?
7. Which came first: the chicken or the egg?
8. What is your favorite blog?
9. Are you an early or late riser?
10. When did you get into nail art/polishing nails?
11. Do you like being tagged?
AND now I have to tag some people. Here we go:
Have fun, I want to see those answers!

Drawing
Another hobby of mine besides nails is drawing. I like to take a picture on the internet and draw it on paper while looking at my computer screen. It's really hard work, and I'd say it's worth it. Each drawing takes a few hours, more or less, depending on the difficulty and how much detail I want. This one took me about 3 hours total, and I think you'd see why. I use a variety of graphite pencils, a rubber eraser, and some smudging stubs. I chose to do this picture because in World History class at school I saw a beautiful Greek statue. I immediately wanted to draw it, and here it is:)
original vs. my drawing
Not bad, eh?
I hope this post didn't confuse anyone, seeing as how I am a nail blogger. Anyways, I hope you like my work!

New Polishes & Galaxies
I went to the mall yesterday and picked up some new polishes from H&M and Forever 21. The H&M polish is double-ended with nude and plum. It's called Frosty Lavender. The Forever 21 one kind of reminds me of a peacock, it has an emerald sparkly base with turquoise and purple duochrome shimmer. It's called Blue/Green because Forever 21 polishes are vaguely named.
My manicure is galaxies with what was supposed to be like an eclipse, but you can't really tell.
I used a ton of polishes-
the base is by NYC called Skin Tight Denim
the sponged colors are:
China Glaze-Platinum Silver
Orly- White Tips
Sinful Colors-Let's Talk (purple)
NYX- Pimp My Nail (neon green)
NOPI- Kim-Pletely in Love (pink)
and on top of the whole thing is Sally Hansen - Night Lights and a black and a white striper.

Cameo
Today I have a really cool manicure for you guys (in my opinion). I decided to use my cameo necklace as inspiration. I really like vintage jewelry so this fits very well in my book. Also, I really appreciate the wonderful comments, so please keep commenting! On that note, does anyone have any suggestions for my blog like more information on specific things? Let me know and I'd be glad to provide it!
This time I used Nicole by OPI's Kim-Pletely in Love (I love that name!), Orly's Luxe, and Orly white detail brush and some rhinestones. I stamped BM-206 on all my nails except the middle finger.
